Flaming Gorge sits 35 miles north of Vernal — across the Wyoming line, into one of the most photogenic corners of the American West. Red rock walls drop a thousand feet into a deep blue reservoir. The dam overlook delivers a view that ends careers in landscape photography. The Sheep Creek Loop winds through canyon, mountain, and meadow in 13 miles of constant cinema. Most people see it from a single overlook through a Honda Civic windshield. Our guests see it from a black stretch limousine, with cold drinks and gold mood lighting and time enough to actually take it in.

We run Flaming Gorge tours from Vernal year-round. Sunset tours are the most-booked. Half-day combinations with the dam, Red Canyon, and Sheep Creek are our specialty. Call (435) 219-9447 to plan the route.

Half-Day & Full-Day

The Sheep Creek Loop.

For longer trips, we add the Sheep Creek Geological Loop — 13 miles of paved scenic byway through some of the most dramatic rock formations in the region — and time at the Manila overlook on the Wyoming side. Half-day (5 hours) covers all of it at a relaxed pace. Full-day adds Hideout Canyon Overlook and a stop for lunch at a Manila or Dutch John restaurant.

For wildlife: pronghorn, bighorn sheep, eagles, and the occasional moose are routine sightings on the Sheep Creek Loop. We don't promise them, but we'll slow down for them.
